Adam McLaughlin
Adam has been a leader in the fitness industry, specializing in injury rehab and sports performance, for almost 10 years.
Adam graduated from Endicott College in 2013 with a degree in Exercise Science. Throughout his time at Endicott, he completed multiple internships, and had a science heavy curriculum based around bio-mechanics and strength and conditioning. The time that he spent in Massachusetts at Endicott, helped him develop a plan of what he wanted to do with his career. After graduation, Adam knew he had to take a leap of faith to chase his dream of growing in the fitness industry. He left Massachusetts and moved to the fit city of Denver to continue his education and enter the industry.
After moving to Denver, and after searching for the right place to start his career, Adam had found a sport performance facility in the south metro area that partnered with orthopedics and physical therapists. Very quickly, he realized that he had a passion, and an ability, to help people get back to full speed post-injury. Adam was able to work with the doctors and physical therapists within his facility to create a return to activity program and start building protocols for multiple rehabs, specifically ACL rehabs.
In an attempt to learn as much about the fitness industry as possible, Adam decided to move on to a fitness corporation to learn more about the “business” behind fitness. Not only did Adam accomplish what he set out for, but he worked into management and was leading a team of 10-12 trainers when the 2019 pandemic hit.
With the gym closing and Adam’s world being turned up, he decided to be proactive opposed to reactive, and started his own company. His goal was to find a way to deliver better service to his clients, while also growing and reaching more clients. Mac Performance and Wellness was born. With this move, Adam was able to go back to his roots of focusing on injury rehab and sports performance.
Adam has a unique set of skills as a trainer. Some might say that he see’s the human body differently than others. He focuses heavily on proper movement patterns and neuro-muscular connection. With an adverse application, he has gotten incredible results getting clients out of chronic pain and in the best shape of their lives.
Along with the rehab side of his business, he has become a top sport performance coach in the Denver south metro area. He has a rigid physiological approach to training athletes which shows in his programing. Every athletes program will show similarities, but will never be exactly the same. After sending 30+ athletes to play a variety of sports at the college level and taking part in the training of professionals and olympians, Adam feels incredibly comfortable saying that he guarantees that any athlete will see incredible results after working with him.
Adam loves fitness and loves being in the gym, but, he is also an outdoors enthusiast and spends a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains hiking, camping, hunting and exploring. Adam is also a huge Broncos fan and will always be tuning in on Sundays to watch the blue and orange!
